this test is the relatively new Federal HST 230gr .45acp P JHP.
Fired into a line of four one gallon milk jugs filled with water from 15 feet away.
Round penetrated three jugs and exited to the side so the fourth jug was not penetrated, but I believe it would have had the trajectory remained straight.
Note: A previous firing of the same round was shot into 1/2" plywood. It penetrated completely and the slug stayed intact. No mushroom at all. It plugged the hollow point with plywood and acted like a FMJ.Slug measurements: See second pic. Does measurements really matter in this case?!?
